This story begins with the quest for modern armor in 1/16 and vehicles we haven't seen too many of. Tamiya's Sheridan and the 3d Printed Scorpions have been nice editions to the pack.
Other efforts with modified 1/18 21st Century toys vehicles have allowed some additions to the pack. It allowed NATO subjects to be added including my late 70's M113A1 with MASSTER scheme.
The 3d Printed Emerson turret allowed an M901 effort.
Which has been fun bit lacks automotively....
Tamiya has given us a new platform to move that needle on the NATO front. The Sheridan is quick and agile and punches above its weight!
Well thought out and with new electronics, we welcome it to the field!
Not perfect as the small rocks that haunt our field still break the best of tracks!
The next chapter is the DAK COs version of a vehicle that was acquired through the inner working that make up a veteran club.
Full details are classified but our SoCal based logistics officer was involved!
Still in the Tamiya shipping box!
This is the first totally new in Box kit I have acquired with the intention to build since since I bought a Sherman with winnings from a gambling weekend in 2007. All my other projects have been trades, used projects, flips, parts kits, or rescues.
Oohhhhh!
Cannot wait to start. Unfortunately the start of this project has been delayed by the hottest summer on record in AZ. Even my swamp cooled shop is too hot!
Following the advice of some contemporaries, I have purchased addition sprees for the cupola as to attempt to build a Battle System friendly version....
I will share my finished project when I figure it out!
Battle system found locally off eBay!
I bought this to put in my Abrams but I will break it in on the Sheridan.
To the races!
Love the first steps into a new kit.
