M5A1 Stuart
Light tanks need love too! 3D printing gets us closer!
3D Printing is the coming wave. In many regards the future is NOW! I recently met with the owner of Battleground Toys, a cottage industry make of primarily 1/18 scale 3d printed vehicles and accesories and he showed an interest in getting several 1/16 scale products in our hands. You can find his work on Shapeways.com including artilllery, softskins, and some tanks! His first effort is an M5A1 that really is amazing in detail and nuance. He has enlisted DAK to help work out suspension issues and you may soon see the "lights" hit the field!

Hard to turn down, beer and tanks! First thing to see was an accurate 37mm gun for 1/6 scale Stuarts!

We start with our subject, the turret has separate hatches, vision blocks and brush guards and lift rings etc are all fantastic.

Upper and lower hull come cast together initially but Pat is working on a two piece setup for easier RC potential.

With turret in place you can see how good a project this can be. Don't worry folks, he teased and M8 Howitzer as well!
