Yes, I took another 1/18 scale 21st Century Toys motorized model at Walmart for $50 and put Tamiya Sherman guts in it.
Yes, I figured out how to put all the RC gear inside and even found an Emerson TOW turret to mount.
The final product is rare and will be a stealthy addition to the light armor force.
Once again Heng Long traverse and modified educational gears but this time I added an ad-hock elevation cobbled together from left over servos.

IMPROVED TOW VEHICLE
My old legacy M113A1 with M175 Dragon Tow launcher repainted to a MASSTER Scheme was my inspiration.
I have always wanted an M901 since I read "Team Yankee" back in 1985. A 3-D printed turret appeared on Shapeways!
Some rough fitting on the existing moving cupola. Have several things to adjust!
M901s have a different hatch to accomodate the Emerson turret.

Emitter ensconced in the actual sight. Flash will go in one of the tubes later.
Test run in battle with Tamiya guts. Fights really well!

Only drawback the 21st century toys pitiful suspension...
First attempt at masking the DUALTEX digital cams was a flop.
Second method was to plot scale 4 inch squares on a modified MERDC pattern with a graph paper image of the hull side.
Base coat is Testors OD rattle can. First CAMO color is Tamiya Earth Brown.
Used a smaller paper punch out to add NATO black Squares and then DECK TAN.
A few were done by hand but the majority were airbrushed with a paper mask.
Front Yard initial run shows it is a good little looker!
In Battle, suspension is still achilles heel.
Got some decent shots on a tiger though!
